To begin with, you’ll need to complete the first map. Though, don’t stress too much about this part. It’s the easiest portion of the game and shouldn’t take too long at all. With any luck, you’ll spend all that time building up your deck and obtaining some pretty strong cards to fight with. Be sure to take advantage of encounters like the Mystery Card and Campfire. Both can be helpful in the long run, not just in the Prospector boss fight.

The Inscryption Prospector boss fight is broken up into two different phases. The first will be rather simple, with only a couple of enemies and a pack mule to take out, and the second will greatly increase in difficulty.

During the first phase of the Prospector fight, you’ll be up against basic cards, along with a Pack Mule that has five health and no attack. Your main goal for this phase, along with taking the Prospector’s health down, is to defeat the Pack Mule. Defeating the Pack Mule will give you a whole handful of new cards.

However, you must avoid using powerful cards to complete the first portion of the boss fight. At the beginning of the second phase, the Prospector will turn all the cards on your side of the table into Gold Nuggets that cannot be moved until they get attacked by an opposing card. Saving up some powerful cards for the second half of the battle will easily be the difference between defeating the Prospector in Inscryption, and having to restart the map.

In order to win, you have to take the Prospector’s health back down to zero a second time to pass the second phase of the fight. This can be done with a bit of patience, some planning, and a whole lot of strategy when it comes to picking the cards you will fight with.
