Shortly into your adventures in Dave the Diver, Ellie will approach you and offer you the Red Ecological Data quest. Ellie is a Biology student over at the local graduate school. She needs you to get some items for her to study their ecological data. However, both objects must be red, hence the quest’s name. You will be too quick to accept the quest once she mentions that you will get a reward if you complete it. Read on to learn how to complete Red Ecological Data in Dave the Diver and help Ellie study the ecology of the Giant Blue Hole.
Completing Red Ecological Data
Ellie will ask you for two types of items, but she will continue with that. She will also require you to get her two of each item. The things Ellie needs are:
- 2x Agar
- 2x Red Starfish
The two items are relatively easy to find since they stand out against the blue background of the water.
Head over to the right edge of your boat and hold down the space bar to dive like you usually would to catch some fish. Once you’re down in the water, check the surfaces around. The Argar and Red Starfish will sit on flat surfaces and are reasonably easy to find. As you can see in the image above, you should look for the items with blue diamonds above them, resembling a quest item.
When you find the items, you’ll notice that you can pick up the Red Starfish using the space bar on your keyboard. However, the other thing Ellie requires in Dave the Diver will be more challenging to collect. Rather than just collecting it with the space bar, you must use your left mouse button to break the Agar before you can pick up the harvested Agar with your space bar.
Once you’ve collected both Agar and Red Starfish for Red Ecological Data in Dave the Diver, it’s time to head back up to the surface. Once you’re on your boat, Ellie will immediately call you and offer you the reward of:
- 70x Gold
- 5x Olive Oil
- 5x Soy Sauce
