The first thing you must do is head to Kyovashad, where you will speak to Guard Boza. You can find Guard Boza to the Northeast of the Kyovashad Waypoint, near the World Tier Statue. When you talk to Guard Boza, choose the “How fares the city guard?” option when prompted.

Guard Boza will tell you how the new militia recruits have been training nonstop. They surely deserve some praise, but Guard Boza refuses to let the recruits see her soft side. Guard Boza will request that you go and cheer for the militia recruits since it will be a very easy coin for you and get the job done for her without revealing her caring-natured side.

Head over to the training militia, who you can find to the Northeast of where Guard Boza is. Once you arrive, you must cheer for the militia recruits. However, this is where most players need clarification. You have yet to have the chance to mess around with your emotes thus far in the game, so most players don’t expect the quest to be that simple and get stuck trying to find an object or recruits to interact with. Once you arrive near the training militia, access your Emote wheel. This is done by using the E button on your keyboard. Scroll until you find the Cheer Emote and use it near the recruits.

Once you cheer for the training militia, head back to Guard Boza and speak to her. Use the “I encouraged the recruits” option this time when prompted. Once you talk to Guard Boza and receive her praise and thanks, you will complete the Raising Spirits side quest in Diablo 4. You will also receive some gold and experience points.
