Lego Fortnite is very much unlike anything we’ve seen in previously primarily Battle Royale games like Fortnite. However, that doesn’t stop Epic Games from being extremely innovative and trying out new things. In this case, it happens to be quite successful. Lego Fortnite is a survival game within Fortnite, that acts as its own stand alone game within the bigger game. When you first start out, you must get your hands on some tools, but how?
Lego Fortnite: How to Get the Forest Axe and Pickaxe
The Forest Axe and Pickaxe are the first tools you will need to get your hands on within Lego Fortnite, but in order to make them, you need Wood and Granite. Wood and Granite are both resources that can be harvested and collected with the Forest Axe and Pickaxe. This might seem like a pretty big dilemma, but there’s a relatively simple solution.

Rather than going for entire trees, huge logs, and giant Granite rocks, looks for their smaller counterparts scattered around the ground. Each of these can be collected for Wood and Granite without having to use any tools.
How To Craft the Pickaxe and Forest Axe in Lego Fortnite
Both recipes are relatively simple to craft, and you only need to have a Crafting Bench in order to do it. First, access the Crafting Bench, as long as it isn’t raining. Next, access the Tools tab up at the top of the many, and you will see:
- Forest Axe
- 5x Wood
- 2x Granite
- Pickaxe
- 5x Wood
Each of these can then be crafted, simply by selecting the craft button, as long as your have the proper resources in your inventory.
