How to Complete the Friend to the Critters Quest in Fae Farm

After you finish your quest with Eddy the Mariner, he will send you love to begin the Friend to the Critters quest in Fae Farm with another of Azoria’s inhabitants. In Friend to the Critters, you’ll meet Mel, the local beekeeper. Mel the Beekeeper will teach you some important skills to have in Azoria, including how to catch critters. “Mel the Beekeeper knows all about critters. You should go talk to him.”

The only requirement in order to access the Friend to the Critters quest is the completion of the previous quest, Gone Fishin’. Since it’s a part of Chapter One, you cannot access or complete a quest until you have completed the previous quest. Additionally, there is only one goal for this quest:

  • Go meet Mel the Beekeeper.

You can find Mel the Beekeeper in the West Town area of Azoria. Access your map by pressing the – button if you play on Nintendo Switch and look around the map. Each area of the map is labeled by name and shows multiple different icons on each. These icons display the NPCs that are found in that particular area. West Town is also marked with a question mark icon, showing that it is a part of your current quest. Track the West Town location so you can see the waypoint on your map to show you the way to Mel.

Once you make it to West Town, you find Mel the Beekeeper standing in front of his house. The house is marked by a group of bee hives outside to the right of it. Mel will be relatively easy to find since he will have a large question mark floating above his head. Speak with Mel the Beekeeper to complete the Friend to the Critters quest in Fae Farm.
