Nova Core Chaos Review: Futuristic Chaos

Nova Core Chaos Review

If you’re a fan of titles like Overcooked or Plate Up!, then Nova Core Chaos might be right up your alley. It’s fun, chaotic (as its name suggests) and just an overall great time for you and a few friends. I recently had the chance to get some hands-on experience with Nova Core Chaos, and I’m delighted to report that I was rather surprised at the fun that I experienced while I spent (admittedly too many) hours in-game over the past week.

The concept to Nova Core Chaos is rather simple. You craft Nova Cores with the elements and ores desired by your customers, then deliver them. However, the act of getting from the point where the order is being placed to the point where you deliver it is where everything gets, well, chaotic.

Between you and up to four friends, you will stumble over each other, inevitably close that one door that another needed open and trap them in a room, and accidentally duplicate orders instead of working on a new one. It’s wild, full of super high energy, laughter inducing, and an all-around great time.

Naturally, there are some bugs involved, as with any new indie game that hasn’t gone through the necessary patches to fix up the minute details. I can admit that there were quite a few time where I was outrageously frustrated while trying to get the game to work flawlessly, but over time and once I was able to get all my friends and myself into the same place to play, all that frustration melted away as I called out “Dude, you locked me in the green room AGAIN!” and erupted into a fit of giggles with the homies.

Nova Core Chaos Summary

Overall, I really enjoyed Nova Core Chaos. My review might be short, sweet, and to the point, but it’s accurate. Taking the time to hop into the game for yourself and get a taste for how much fun it really is will only solidify everything here. The gameplay is fantastic, the multiplayer features make it near-perfect with the exception of some bugs and glitches here and there. The only thing I really wish I could have seen in Nova Core Chaos is some type of progression. Having a map with different areas that you travel to, or even different set up rooms so the game doesn’t appear to be as repetitive will work wonders.
