Out of all the Diablo 4 classes, it’s always best to know what is available to you and what each of them do. Though, this can be a bit challenging at time, since the game offers little to no explanation when you get to the class selection portion of your character creation. This guide can help you learn about each of the classes and their play-styles. Read on below to learn about all Diablo 4 classes and what they do.
What are All the Diablo 4 Classes?

There are five classes available to you as you enter the character creations process. You can choose to be:
- Sorcerer
- Rogue
- Barbarian
- Druid
- Necromancer
Below, we’ll take a look at what each of these classes is and what they do.
Diablo 4 Sorcerer
If you know anything about RPG games, then you should know what a sorcerer is. The sorcerer is a magic-wielding character that has some powerful elemental attacks. The sorcerer is great with ranged attacks and has some of the best AoE skills available in the game.
Diablo 4 Rogue
The rogue is one of the quickest and deadliest classes in Diablo 4. You can choose to specialize in either long-range combat or close combat, though both of them are pretty effective. The rogue can use poison attacks, something that is rare to find within the game, and is a great choice for PvP.
Diablo 4 Barbarian
The barbarian is one of Diablo 4‘s strongest melee characters. While it’s not possible to switch between weapons without having to unequal and re-equip for most characters, barbarian’s make this possible. In turn, barbarians are one of the strongest fighters you can choose. Though, they aren’t the best with range or AoE attacks.
Diablo 4 Druid
You really can’t have a druid without having a spirit animal, right? Diablo 4 understood this fully when they decided to bring druids back into the franchise. Druids have a strong fighting style, but it is nothing compared to the might and speed that your spirit animal will bring to the fight. If you enjoy playing solo, a druid may be the way to go for you.
Diablo 4 Necromancer
The necromancer, according to loads of players, is the best overall class. You have summoning abilities, ranged attacks, and even melee attacks if you wish to use melee weapons. The necromancer can dish out some seriously heavy attacks, and they can take hits well.
